Application Period
- You can apply from 4 months before your stay expires until the expiration date.
- A fine (minimum of 100,000 KRW) may be imposed if applied after the expiration date, so be careful.
How to Apply
- Online Application
- Application site: Go to HiKorea
- Available time: Weekdays from 7 AM to 10 PM (Excluding weekends and holidays)
- Membership registration and digital certificate (authentication certificate) are required for online applications.
- You must report any address change within 14 days, and you must be in Korea on the application day.
- In-Person Application
- You can apply by visiting the immigration office that has jurisdiction over your address.
- You must make a reservation through the HiKorea website.

- Employment permit or standard labor contract
- Proof of residence (e.g., lease contract, dormitory certificate)
- Application fee: 60,000 KRW

- If you leave Korea before your extension is approved, your application will be automatically invalidated.
